The Pine Creek Rail Trail stretches 62 miles from Jersey Shore, PA to the outskirts of Wellsboro. Connections to downtown Wellsboro from the current trailhead at Pag-Omar farms (great lunch option) will be completed by April 2026. This will add roughly 3 miles to the current trail and provides convenient hotel access.
There are hotel options at both ends (more in Wellsboro), B and B options along the route, and a number of state camping options on the trail. Some campsites do not have potable water, so plan ahead. Black Walnut Bottom, Hoffman, and Tiadaghton have water. There is also a "full-service" private campground (Pettecote Junction) with cabins, glamping options, and tent sites at Cedar Run. Several convenience stores with sandwich shops are easily accessible along the route where it parallels roads. All of the above amentities are located in the southern portion of the trail. Much of the northern portion is not accessible via road and runs through the "Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania." There is nothing (except beautiful scenery) in the 9-mile segment from Tiadaghton Campground to Ansonia. The 7-mile segment north of this has road access but no ammenities unil Pag-O-Mar Farms at Wellsboro Junction. Plan to be entirely self-supported (food, water, tools) for this 16-mile segment.
